Builder: Hendrickson Organ Company, Opus 46, 1977; Hendrickson Organ Co, Opus 4 1968 Originally Wicks Organ Co., Opus 4173, 1961 Manuals: 4 Ranks: 39 Action: Electropneumatic Notes: In 1968, the Hendrickson Organ Company rebuilt the existing 18-rank, 1961 Wicks organ, adding two positive divisions, but keeping and revising the 3-manual Wicks console. The Wicks was installed in a chamber at the back of a deep choir loft, speaking into an acoustically dead room. The double positivs brought the sound of the organ out into the room very successfully. Merrill N. Davis III was the consultant. In 1977, Hendrickson built and installed a new 4-manual console and added eight stops. In 1997, Hendrickson rearranged the organ to suit the newly enlarged balcony. Additional work was done in 2012 including replacing aging leather on the reservoirs and aging wiring, and replacing the original combination action with digital controls.
