Builder: Wicks Organ Co, Fuga model, case 3N Manuals: 2 Ranks: 3 Action: Wicks Direct Electric Notes: In 2013 Grandall & Engen was contacted about a noisy blower, located inside the choir risers. We installed a new blower in the basement in a corner tower so it would not be heard at all in the church. The organ is self-contained, with free reeds for the 16' octave of the pedal extension. This organ could have been built for another location and moved here since it's so small and self-contained. These were built in the 1930s and 1940s, and the Wicks Opus List does not show this particular church as original purchaser. First photo shows the organ at the left of the chancel, integrated with the choir. The second photo shows the tower holding the basement blower. |
