The tonal design was done by Lawrence Phelps, his first instrument for the Casavant firm. The Abbey church is a fairly large stone building with stunning acoustics. Additions were fabricated by the Schlicker Organ Co., Buffalo, New York, ca. late 1990s and early 2000s, with the blessing of the Casavant company, and installed by Peters, Weiland & Co., of Milwaukee, WI. Additions include a III Cymbale on the Great, an 8' Voix Humana on the Swell, an 8' Trompette Premontre en chamade on the Choir above the west door, and a 32' Soubasse and 32' Bombarde (electronic) on the Pedal. A Zimbelstern (toe stud) was also added. The console of the instrument has been completely overhauled with the addition of new stop knobs and an eight level solid state memory bank.
