Staff: Mark V. Matters. Justin Matters studied organ at Concordia College, St. Paul with Paul Manz. He then transferred to the University of Minnesota to complete a degree in organ performance under Heinrich Fleischer. Formed Justin Organ Pipes in St. Paul, Minnesota, which later became Matters, Inc., a general organ supply company. Justin purchased Schlicker Organ Company in 1992 and merged his firm into Schlicker. The instrument (1959 Schlicker) started at Notre Dame University in ID. Justin Matters acquired the instrument and moved it to SD. Around 2000 it was acquired/moved again to East Coast by Scott Foppiano. Organ Historical Society as of 2020. |
