Builder: Schlicker Organ Co., circa 1960. Manuals: 2 Ranks: Unknown Action: Electropneumatic Notes: Not built for this church. It is essentially a standard Schlicker practice organ, but larger than normal with a krummhorn, and 8' principal extension, and what appears to be a pedal 16' Fagott plus chimes. During Kathryn Moen's time as organist, the church contracted with Lawrence Phelps for a new organ (around 1976). The organ was never built and the church lost their down-payment. The same happened with a church in Cedar Falls, IA, and very nearly with Westminster Presbyterian in Des Moines. Westminster's organ was half-built when Phelps went under, and the organ was completed by Dobson. |
