The Wurlitzer was one of only five original Wurlitzers ever constructed with 5 manuals. It was built in 1927 for the Marbro Theater in Chicago, IL. While in the Carlson home the pipe chambers were in a basement and spoke through grills in the floor up into the dining and living rooms. Console was in the living room. The organ was relocated in 1982 to the Ocean State Theater (originally called the Loew's State Theater) in Providence, RI. Additional information from Organ Historical Society as of 2011. |
