Builder: M.P.Möller, Opus 4732, 1926 1903: Wangerin original construction 1926: Moller move to new building 1953: Moller move to current building/console Manuals: 3 Ranks: 21 (24?) Action: Electropneumatic Notes: The congregation was founded in 1852. Their first organ was purchased for $700 for the church building located at 4th St. and 9th Ave. near downtown Minneapolis. In 1903, a new church was built and the congregation purchased a 3 manual Wangerin organ for $12,000. The congregation then built a new church on 19th St. in 1953 and the organ was moved and revised by Moller. --Photos from the church website and Pierre Girard 2010 and 5/2020. May, 2022: The organ has not played since at least 2012. The congregation has shrunk and only the school/daycare is thriving. The chests are Wangerin, so the Moller opus number applies primarily to the console and switches. The console is in terrible condition, with many broken stop faces. Most of the bass pipes of the 16' Tuba have broken off at the block, and some of the Clarinets have bent over. Pipe counts are estimates as is the stoplist itself.
