Builder: Luther J. Melby, Opus 3, 2007 Originally Wicks, Opus 4511, 1964 Manuals: 3 Ranks: 35 Action: Wicks patented Direct Electric® Notes: Built for Bethany Lutheran Church in Lindsborg, KS. In 1997 it was replaced with a 31 rank Jaeckel tracker organ. Originally in the rear gallery, Opus 4511 had its two swell boxes immediately adjacent. Sold in 1999 to Rev. James Adix of Our Savior's Lutheran, Cedar Rapids, IA for a planned church expansion that never happened. It was stored in a barn in Iowa until given to the seminary chapel. In 2006/7. Melby reconfigured it with the two chambers separated by pedal stops behind an altar screen. Great and Choir on left; Positiv, Swell and upper pedal on right; lower pedal in center behind screen. Editor's note: In the summer of 2021, Grandall and Engen will remove chests of the Great and Positiv to replace the Wicks valves that have rusted hinges from the time in the barn. The mixtues will be reconfigured. |
