Builder: Estey Organ Co (Opus 3196, 1952) Manuals: 2 Ranks: 10 Pipes: 605 Notes: In August, 1994, the Hendrickson Organ Company of St. Peter, MN was contracted to remove the pipe organ from DeGraff, and store it at the St. Peter shop until St. Francis' Church in Benson completed renovation of its sanctuary. While in storage in St. Peter, the organ was revised with the addition of 5 ranks of pipes. The instrument now has 15 ranks totaling 971 pipes. With the completion of architectural revisions at St. Francis, the pipe organ was installed in a new organ gallery at the front center of the church interior. The organ was used for the first time in April, 1999. --Information from the Organ Historical Society. Photo from the church website. Last Update: 5/2013 |
