The organ was installed in two rooms called organ chambers at the rear of the balcony in St. Bridget's Church. The organ contained 10 ranks totaling 605 pipes. In August, 1994, the Hendrickson Organ Company of St. Peter, MN was contracted to remove the pipe organ from DeGraff, and store it at the St. Peter shop until St. Francis' Church in Benson completed renovation of its sanctuary. --Information from Charles Hendrickson and from the church. While in storage in St. Peter, the organ was revised with the addition of 5 ranks of pipes. The instrument now has 15 ranks totaling 971 pipes. With the completion of architectural revisions at St. Francis, the pipe organ was installed in a new organ gallery at the front center of the church interior. The organ was used for the first time in April, 1999. | |
