The rumor was that Phelps was not pleased with the Krummhorn and had it re-made three times. Gerhard Krapf contributed to the design, and this organ was used by the University until Clapp Hall was completed in 1972. The organ is entirely behind a screen at the right front, with the Positiv closest to the console (upper photo). The choir loft is adjacent to the console. Details of the 2018 changes from Casavant, which included a new swell division (second photo), releathering, repacking stopped pipes, new relay/combination action, and a new 3-manual console.
