Builder: Barton Organs, 1928. Manuals: 2 Ranks: 5 Action: Electro-pneumatic/unit Notes: Organ originally installed in 1928 in the Geneva Theatre, Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Relocated at unknown time to Cresco (First) Methodist Church, Cresco, Iowa. In 1992, it was acquired by the River City Theatre Organ Society (RCTOS) and moved to an airplane hanger of Durand Sky Ranch, Omaha, Nebraska, where it was transformed back into a theatre organ: several tuned percussions, four ranks of pipes, and a new combination action were added. Col. Jack Moelmann, who was stationed at Oufitt Air Force Base in Omaha, was involved with the installation and played the dedication concert on Sunday, September 21, 1992. Following the death of Bill Durand, the organ was sold to Merl Core, an RCTOS member, for installation in his residence in Omaha, Nebraska. Organ Historical Society as of 2016. |
