Builder: Schantz Organ Co. Opus 1248, 1974 Manuals: 3 Ranks: Stops: 45 Action: Electro-pneumatic Notes: Prior to this Schantz organ's installation in 1974, the church had a Hook and Hastings Pipe organ, from the original building, built in the late-1880's. The original church congregation (including building) was called Second Presbyterian Church. A new building in 1914 replaced original. Hook & Hastings was (presumably) moved to this 1914 structure. The Schantz organ case is in a modest, yet modern design, with exposed facade pipes. The organ is located in the chancel in the front of the cruciform shaped Gothic-inspired sanctuary dating to 1914. The organ has some grillework but the grilles do not conceal the whole instrument. The last picture on the right shows a tracker organ about which we have information. We assume that is in a chapel.
