Identified by William Dunklin, using information from: http://barton.theatreorgans.com/. In 1926 the Capitol Theatre was bought by (and renamed) Paramount Theatre Corp. at which time this Kilgen, Opus 3037, was replaced by Wurlitzer, Opus 1404. The Kilgen was moved to Denfield HS in Duluth. It contained an Echo division. David L. Junchen's Encyclopedia of the American Theatre Organ, Vol. I. and Organ Historical Society as of 2020. A Wurlitzer replaced the Kilgen, later moved to KSTP studios and is now at the Phipps Center in Hudson, WI. -- Ed Copland, 2021 |
