Notes: Hoyme Chapel was built in 1906 and burned in 1923. As recorded in the Manitou Messenger in 1925, "Its downfall was as majestic as had been the days of its prime, and the fact that Dr. Christiansen played the splendid old organ for the last time on the morning preceding the fire, seemed later a not ungrandiose prelude to the downfall of this honored edifice." We have no other records of the organ in Hoyme except that St. Olaf had one of the four Hall organs in Northfield, and there is no Hall organ currently on campus. It seems logical that Hoyme Chapel was its home and it was lost in the fire.
