(See several locations for this instrument. It became the beginnings of the Heights Theater instrument in Columbia Heights (Minneapolis), MN)
Builder: Wurlitzer Organ Co., Op. 2080, 1929. Style SP (3-man) model.
Manuals: 3
Ranks: 15 (originally)
Compass: 61/32
Action: Electro-pneumatic

Notes: "SP" (special) referred to Wurlitzers additions or changes to their stock instrument models. This organ had 3-manuals (not the normal 2) and also a Vibraphone with "paddlewheel" motor for the undulating sound.

The instrument was moved to Columbia Heights, MN in 2001 and is now housed at the "Heights Theater" there. It contains additonal ranks, from various "parted-out" Wurlitzers, including the original McPhail School of Music instrument (where Eddie Dunstedter taught). Also, a Tuba Mirabilis rank from Op. 1984 from the Paramount Theater (now Long Island University) in Brookly, NY.

See separate entry for the "Heights." The "Land-of-Lakes Chapter of the American Theater Organ Society lovingly maintains the Heights instrument with volunteers.

Organ Historical Society as of 2015.
