Fourth United Methodist Church

219 Fourth Avenue NW
Faribault, MN 55021
Builder: J.F. Nordlie Co (1998)
Originally: Reuter Organ Co (Opus 99, 1923)
Manuals: 2
Ranks: 16
Action: Electric
Notes:
The church was built in 1928 and the instrument was built that same year according to Reuter’s opus list. It was 10 ranks in two chambers. Both were under expression, and located in the balcony at the rear of the sanctuary. The two manual and pedal console had thirty-two stop tabs, a host of couplers and combination action.
In 1998, Nordlie of Sioux Falls SD installed a solid state electrical system that included a transposer and eight level memory for the combination action. At this time the windchests were in need of some attention due to wood shrinkage and cracking.
