Holy Family Catholic Church

518 N. 24th Avenue W.
Duluth, MN 55806

Builder: David Rutford  (1998)
Manuals: 3
Ranks: 25
Action: Electro-pneumatic

Notes: Holy Family was formed with the merger of St. Clement's, St. Jean-Baptiste and SS Peter and Paul, each serving an ethnic community in Duluth's west end. St. Clement's (demolished) was absorbed by St. Jean-Baptiste in 1975. St. Jean and SS Peter & Paul were later merged. In 1996 St. Jean's was demolished and Holy Family was built on that location. (SS Peter & Paul building was sold to Rock Hill Community Church.) The current organ is a merger of the two Casavants from St. Jean (Opus 987, 1923) and SS Peter & Paul (Opus 2444, 1957 originally built for Holy Rosary Cathedral and later replaced by a Sipe organ.)  The Holy Rosary Casavant had many preparations, and its console was retained.
Technical notes: It appears the Rosary Great was retained unchanged. The Rosary Swell became the Choir (with Oboe exchanged for a Clarinet). The Jean-Baptiste Swell was retained. The combined pedal ranks (4) became the new pedal.
