Note from Moira Leu of the church: "I'm sorry to say the organ at First Unitarian Church of Des Moines was dismantled about five years ago. The pipes were sold to members of the church as a fundraiser for a capital campaign (not the reason the organ was dismantled :-) and now the pipes are pieces of artwork homes around the Des Moines area. The wooden organ "case" was gutted and is now used as a desk in the church foyer. The organ hadn't been in use for many years due to the fact that we didn't have an organist and we use a grand piano to accompany our services."

Organ Historical Society as of 20.
